The Challenge
As part of HelloFresh’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, the company partnered with GEA to build a state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution centre at SmartParc in Derby. The ambitious facility was designed with a shared heating and cooling system that recycles waste heat from refrigeration plants and reuses it to warm office spaces and water systems.
With energy efficiency and environmental impact top of mind, GEA required a high-performance thermal insulation solution for a key component of the site: the substation. The insulation needed to support SmartParc’s goal of deriving 100% of its energy from renewable sources.
